The first ever Golden 8 Ball Four Player Team Trophy took place at the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool, from the 17th to 19th June 2011 and was played to Blackball rules. With two stages of round robins to reach the semi-finals and prize money, teams enjoyed many frames of pool. The weekend event ran smoothly and paid out just under £7,000 in prize money, which was exceptionally high considering only 28 teams competed
