Amateur Series 2017-09-30T18:27:52+00:00

Welcome to our new ‘Amateur Series’ event!

We love pool and want more people to come and experience the fun and excitement of a Golden 8 Ball weekend. Our ethos is ‘pool for all’ – players of all skill level and ability should be able to enjoy competitive pool and professional playing conditions.

We want novice players to enjoy competing against others of similar ability, so they get the buzz and excitement of having close, competitive matches, and the thrill of beating your opponent, or putting up a good fight. After all, there is not much fun in attending tournaments only to be obliterated all weekend by highly skilled players and teams!

The amateur event has been created to encourage these novice pool players to come and take part in weekend tournaments; many of whom have never experienced one before. By keeping the more skillful players out, we hope the less skillful players will enter.

We believe the game of pool can grow if more amateur teams go home motivated and enthused, keen to start practising and developing their skills, determined to come back the following year with a bigger and better performance.
